80's cartoons actually sucked

Whenever I say 80's cartoons sucked, someone says "yeah I know Care Bears were real lame". I then say "yeah, also, He-Man, Transformers, G.I Joes, Thundercats, Silverhawks, Voltron, and all that other cheesy kid shit sucked". At that point I offend the said person deeply, as if they were a priest and I a blasphemer. 80's cartoons are the most overrated crap. There's only two people that sincerely enjoy them, kids and retards aka Wizard Magazine reading Hot Topic shoppers that think it's cute to be geeky and nostalgic for 80's bullshit commercialism. "Robots in disguise" my fucking ass, more like toy commercial in disguise. Who are we kidding, Transformers, G.I.Joe, He-Man and all that other nonsense were "shows" based on toys, not toys based on "shows".

I tried watching Transformers and some of those other crappy shows recently and the lame PG-rated (Pussy Garbage rated) action put me to sleep. A wimpy orange cloud, some steroids guy jumping around, and some laser beams is the most violent this shit gets. The stories suck with the typical evil versus good plot. Good guys always win cause they're good, bad guys always lose cause they're bad. Of course this shit was simple, the stories were just excuses to make toy commercials 30 minutes long. As a child of the 80's, I thought these shows were so cool back then and played with the toys. Hey but I also thought 5 X 5 = 55 that time too. I'm not expecting these shows to be for mature audiences, but I hate when someone in their 20's says stupid shit like "Transformers, He-Man, Thundercats, and G.I Joe are better than the crappy cartoons now, I feel sorry for the children of today" as if those cartoons were such sophisticated art. They try to act like children cartoons went downhill and everything was better back then. That's just nothing more than blind asshole elitism. The 90's had way better cartoons like Rugrats and Rocko. Those were shows that had witty humor and quality stories. I'm sick of Transformers, Thundercats, and Voltron getting DVD boxsets, those shows serve no purpose because the toys aren't in toystores anymore, when is someone going to release all the classic Rugrats (before lame Dil was born) and Rocko episodes?
