"Live life to the fullest, experience everything"
I'm getting sick of hearing the boring cliche "stop sitting on the couch watching so many movies, get up and live life to the fullest, get as much knowledge as you can from the world by experiencing everything blah blah blah gayshit blah blah blah!!!!!!!" Besides it being a huge set up for dissapointment since there are infinite things to explore, it's a waste of time, rendering whatever dumb experiences you attained previously completely useless.
What good is the "experience" if you can't even take a break from venturing off to your next exploration? Can you not have time to stand back and finish digesting what you just had so you could actually appreciate it? It's like planting seeds and never stopping to eat the fruit that grows If you kept obligaitng yourself to do something special one event after the other, every event is going to be worthless. I really don't understand these people that force themselves to go to EVERY party, EVERY show, EVERY country when they'd be better off getting a good night's sleep and not giving a damn that they did "nothing" on a Friday night or whatever. I'll go to shows about once every 2 weeks and appreciate it more cause I have time to sit back and say "yep, that was a good show". I'm not the type that feels pressured to drive to one show to the next every single day...that just stops being fun.
I prefer just doing jack shit at home all the time, relaxed, away from asshole people, working on a picture, song, whatever. It's more rewarding then going on a never ending quest for the all too overrated "knowledge from experiences" that we have to embrace according to the status-quo world that finds itself doing shit just cause "it's the thing to do isn't it?".
Yeah I'm home, just doodling and listening to the same Don Caballero CD over and over. If you equate not "clubbing" and not getting laid on a Friday night to "having no life," then I've been dead since the day I was born. Ironically I haven't felt more alive. In the long run, getting a doodle finished over banging some piece of trash whore feels much more fufilling. It's an achievement that lasts forever. What can I say, I'm a simple man really that doesn't ask for too much.
"Live like there's no tomorrow" you say, yeah well you can do that by dying today. Fuck off.
